I don’t think so Vicki. As I recall, it’s usually on at the same time as the Eastbourne Airshow which ends on Sun. 20th August (now less than a month away), There’s no info about there being one at Biggin Hill in 2023 that I could find and I think the article below sums it up best. Hopefully it’ll be back in 2024 though: https://www.blindinglyobvious.co.uk/latest-news/biggin-hill-airshow
What was the date of the first Biggin Hill open day post WW2. I think it was in the late 40’s or very early 50’s. I recall sitting in a Meteor and firing the cannon onto the gun butts!!! Also, the first demo of an ejection seat exit from ground level, a 2 seat Meteor in front of the crowd.

My uncle , Mr Eric George , served in the RAF in World War 2 , he is now 95 years old , and his wife past away last month. I intend to take him to this years air show . He worked on engine maintenance , mainly on the Sunderland Flying boats and ended up being stationed on the African coast . He is fit and has an amazing memory . Is there anywhere that the Veterans meet up at the Show or anything that will lift his spirits at all , If you can advice anything at all I would be most grateful , Alan
